To be able to love the life that you are living, you have to be living the life that you love. Are you doing anything that stimulates you, makes you feel alive or gives you the happiness that you are looking for? I hope that you are not just wasting time “existing”. In my blog post “Existing”, I talk more about letting life pass you by while “existing” and some ideas on how to spice up your life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s time to “Get Up, Get Out, and Get In”! Each day I’m learning how to live the life I love and to do it on my own terms. If you don’t try then you’ve already failed.
Remember to always Live, Laugh and L.O.V.E.
What was I thinking when I decided to begin writing a blog? Really? When I decided to undertake this task I just knew it was going to be fun and exciting, but I didn’t realize it would be more difficult than writing the 40 page final project for my Masters degree. Who knew that trying to develop content was so difficult; I didn’t. I can say with great pride, when it comes to writing for the blog, I am “consistently inconsistent”. This must change and change immediately.
PEOPLE LISTEN UP AND PASS THIS ALONG PLEASE! I’ve been told that this has been in the news in the past week, but please read and inform others.
Today I received a telephone call from a woman who said her name was June Smith and she was calling from the IRS. In her message she said not to ignore the call. Ok, IRS, don’t ignore the call so I called back. When I called back she asked me if I had an attorney I said no, for what. She then informed me that I had recently been audited and now legal proceedings were happening against me for back taxes owed in the amount of $3900 and some change. Immediately I asked her what was she talking about and I told her that I had not received any documentation about any of this. She said that within the next hour the documents would be sent to the court and legal proceedings would begin. I’m still telling her that I don’t know what she’s talking about and I’ve never received any documents. She started some sort of countdown by saying within the next 50 minutes legal procedings would begin and what don’t I understand. She said I would be blacklisted for the next 5 years meaning, no drivers license, passport, credit cards, bank accounts, personal items, etc would all be inactive or seized. I’m constantly telling her that I don’t understand what she’s talking about and no one came to my house with any documents. She said someone came on October 11, 2014 and no one was home to sign for the documents. I said wait, it’s August; she said what; I said it’s August so no one could have come to my house on October 11, 2014 she hesitated and said on August 11, 2014. Okay, long story short I asked to speak to someone else because I didn’t understand her because if her accent, she asked what I don’t understand. I said I file joint returns with my husband, she said something else that I don’t remember and then hung up on me. By now I’m a nervous wreck and calling my husband in tears telling him to come home now. IT WAS/IS A SCAM! This number 202-506-9236.
I contacted the IRS and it’s been reported.
While pulling weeds today, and I tell you there are a lot if those buggers, it occurred to me just how resilient they are. You spray, chop, pull, dig, spray some more and what do you get….. more WEEDS. We can learn something from these troublesome plants. What could we possibly learn from a weed you might ask? Well, I believe we could take notes on how persistent they are. We could apply that persistence to our own lives when we are pursuing our purpose. Just think, whenever things don’t go as you had planned or those times when you want to throw in the towel, how persistent and resilient the weeds are. No matter what happens they keep on coming back; they keep living. Don’t through in the towel, keep coming back again and again just like the pesky bothersome weeds.

What does three men, a dog and one woman have in common? Well at first glance nothing, but after a little digging you’ll see we have several things in common. We all met briefly while hiking in one of the beautiful East Bay Regional Parks in Oakland California.
While the HoneyBee and I were out hiking in the beautiful Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. two weeks ago, we had the pleasure and opportunity to meet some very friendly people along the way. Wait, before I get into that let me tell you about the experience of the hike and walking beneath giants.
Well, let me tell you if you haven’t seen a redwood tree you have missed seeing one of the most magnificent sights ever and if you’ve had the opportunity to see some redwoods then you know what I’m talking about. Now let me tell you about walking beneath hundreds of these magnificent giants, it’s something very spiritual and almost humbling. So, our day started out around 8:30 am when we arrived at the Redwood Bowl Staging Area where we parked our car and begin our hike. We started out on the West Rim Trail which is nice and shady. We followed the West Rim Trail until we reached Orchard Trail which started our downward descent into the lower area of the park. Before we started down my HoneyBee said, “Jeanine, you know if you go down you have to come up somewhere”. Me being me said, “I know, I know let’s go I’ll be okay”. He warned me one last time, but me being me just I kept on going. Continue reading “3 Men, A Dog & 1 Woman?”
So the other day I was at a local store standing in line waiting to pay for a few items. There was a woman in front of me and when it was her turn she politely greeted the cashier and asked him how was his day going. The cashier was so taken by the woman’s greeting that he thanked her for being so kind and told her that it really meant alot to him that she was so polite. He went on to say how it is so difficult to work in retail because there are times when people are extremely rude and you can’t say anything to them because you have to be nice to them at all times. I interjected by saying that I completely understand having worked in retail for several years and yes people can be very rude for no particular reason. The woman then said that she has worked in the bio-medical field for 20 years and it’s no different, in fact it seems as though the more letters that someone has behind their name the worse they are. I agreed with her whole heartedly. Why do some people suddenly get a sense of superiority when they get one or more college degrees?
I would really love to read your thoughts about this.
As always LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE!
