What does three men, a dog and one woman have in common? Well at first glance nothing, but after a little digging you’ll see we have several things in common. We all met briefly while hiking in one of the beautiful East Bay Regional Parks in Oakland California.
While the HoneyBee and I were out hiking in the beautiful Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. two weeks ago, we had the pleasure and opportunity to meet some very friendly people along the way. Wait, before I get into that let me tell you about the experience of the hike and walking beneath giants.
Well, let me tell you if you haven’t seen a redwood tree you have missed seeing one of the most magnificent sights ever and if you’ve had the opportunity to see some redwoods then you know what I’m talking about. Now let me tell you about walking beneath hundreds of these magnificent giants, it’s something very spiritual and almost humbling. So, our day started out around 8:30 am when we arrived at the Redwood Bowl Staging Area where we parked our car and begin our hike. We started out on the West Rim Trail which is nice and shady. We followed the West Rim Trail until we reached Orchard Trail which started our downward descent into the lower area of the park. Before we started down my HoneyBee said, “Jeanine, you know if you go down you have to come up somewhere”. Me being me said, “I know, I know let’s go I’ll be okay”. He warned me one last time, but me being me just I kept on going. Read the rest of this entry »
When you know that you have purpose and that God is in your life .. you may not know how you are gonna make it through troubled waters…
You may even be uncertain of when you will see rewards for being so loyal, and faithful… but when God shows up… God shows out!
So pump yah brakes and add some patience mixed in with a little bit of faith .. Which goes a long way. .. so just imagine how much a lot of faith & patience will bring?

So the other day I was at a local store standing in line waiting to pay for a few items. There was a woman in front of me and when it was her turn she politely greeted the cashier and asked him how was his day going. The cashier was so taken by the woman’s greeting that he thanked her for being so kind and told her that it really meant alot to him that she was so polite. He went on to say how it is so difficult to work in retail because there are times when people are extremely rude and you can’t say anything to them because you have to be nice to them at all times. I interjected by saying that I completely understand having worked in retail for several years and yes people can be very rude for no particular reason. The woman then said that she has worked in the bio-medical field for 20 years and it’s no different, in fact it seems as though the more letters that someone has behind their name the worse they are. I agreed with her whole heartedly. Why do some people suddenly get a sense of superiority when they get one or more college degrees?
I would really love to read your thoughts about this.

“Others can inspire you, but ultimately the only thing that empowers you is what lies within you and learning how to better utilize what you’ve been given.” T. D. Jakes
This quote speaks volumes and is the main point that I try to relay in my blog posts, tweets and Facebook posts. It all is up to you. It doesn’t matter how many people try to inspire and uplift you, it all starts and ends with you. You are the key to the entire process if your success. You and only you can move that mountain that is blocking your progress.
What will you do next? Stay stagnant, complacent and powerless. Will you get up and do what you’ve always wanted to do. It’s all up to you! LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE
Are you committed to the process?
Process is defined as “a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end”.
The process of getting to where you want to be in life. Living your vision for your life. More importantly, living the life that God has planned for you. it’s important to know and realize that there is a process that you will have to go through. There are no shortcuts, not fast track, tricks or magic that will ultimately get you there. There is only the process. Whatever you do in life, there is a process. Anything as simple as tying your shoe to performing brain surgery, there is a process.
What is your process? What steps do you use to get to where you want to be? How do you define your process? Take some time to think about your process, write it down and begin to work the process. Commit to your process so that you can live your life to the fullest.
As always Live, Laugh, Love
Are you just existing? Life, is an active phase; you have to be participating. What do I mean when I say “participating”? Well, I mean you have to be doing something with your time. You have to be making every moment count and living your life to the fullest. You shouldn’t be just existing, doing the same things day in and day out. Getting up at the same time, going to work at the same place, eating the same blah lunch, coming home, eating some blah meal and plopping down in front of the television for the same boring movies and/or television shows that you’ve seen thousands of times before. That’s not living, actually it’s almost less than existing if there is such a thing. That sounds more like a robot or something that is moving around doing the same mundane activities everyday of your life, oops I meant to say existence. Read the rest of this entry »
